     1.   Visit from counselor about PSAT 

     2.   Begin viewing The Outsiders. Take notes on a new page in your notebook. Title this page “The Outsiders Film Notes, September 26, 2017.”  Take notes on the following:

a.   Similarities between the film and the novel

b.   Differences between the film and the novel

c.    Film techniques that you think are significant or interesting choices in terms of how the characters, plot, setting, and theme are depicted. 23:40  

     3.   Pair up and read out loud chapter 4 from The Outsiders and discuss how you might film it. Using the storyboard handout, design four sequential shots from this chapter, including what kind of lighting, camera angles and sound techniques, etc.  you would use. 

     4.   Whip around –share your storyboards
